Monster Garage HotDog Dragster Jesse James

View Extra Large Photos
This is the real deal! It was built by Jesse James of Monster Garage and his crew of renowned builders -including the famous late bike builder, Indian Larry. This vehicle is a true piece of history. This could possibly have been the last time Indian Larry and Jesse James had a joint project. The vehicle runs, drives and everything works. It would make an excellent show vehicle, parade vehicle, functional hot dog stand or the ultimate piece in anyone’s collection. It comes with videos of its creation (Episode 20 of Monster Garage), backup paperwork and more.

Here's the cut-and-dry premise: Jesse and his crew. A New York City hot-dog cart. And a top fuel dragster that can hit speeds over 130 mph, pop wheelies — and serve up tasty hot dogs.
The result: a monster so loud and so fast the New York City police shut down an attempt by Jesse to show it off live on Letterman.

•Body Modifications: The team cut the hot-dog cart in half, using the hot-dog dispensers and umbrella as the dragster's body. The '66 Woody Gilmore front-engine slingshot dragster served as the monster's frame.
•Biggest Challenges: The team's greatest challenge was ensuring the hot-dog cart body was cut with enough room to allow the tires to expand as they drag-raced. They also had to make sure the coupler that rests between Jesse's legs, connecting the transmission to the rear end, was running smoothly; if something went wrong with that, Jesse could be seriously injured.
